Summary The Phoenix VA Health Care System is hiring a Medical Instrument Technician (Echocardiograph Technician). This position works in the Cardiology section of the VAMC. The echocardiography technician has the intimate knowledge of thoracic anatomy and physiology as related to cardiovascular function. Responsibilities Major duties include but are not limited to: Must use independent judgment in applying knowledge of clinical cardiology and ultrasound, and Doppler principles. Must use problem-solving skills to optimize the evaluation and adjust the exam to ensure that it is comprehensive and accurate. Records and interprets the result of the exam and presents information and or possible diagnosis to interpreting physician. Performs 2D, M-Mode, continuous and pulse wave Doppler and color flow exam. Performs transthoracic examinations. Performs stress echo cardiograms with and without pharmaceuticals. Assists physician of results of exam. Receives patients, explains procedure and performs exam. Assist Cardiology Fellows in performing and interpreting echo exams. Independently setting, calibrating and operating of machinery. Schedules In-patients for examinations, evaluates the nature of critical and emergency procedures and rearranges patient priorities to accommodate them. Knowledge of normal echocardiographic findings and deviations produced by a wide variety of cardiovascular diseases. Ability to perform complex procedures such as cardiac studies of the four chambers of the heart and valves using sector scanning techniques to detect stenotic and incompetent valves, chamber enlargement, and pericardial effusion and cardiovascular studies deriving pressure gradients across obstructed valves, etc. Ability to perform complementary ultrasonic examinations (including noninvasive) transthoracic, Bubble studies and contrast echocardiography, (invasive) stress echocardiography, and transesophageal echocardiography. Ability to adapt transducer positioning, instrument controls, and examination techniques to the individual patient being studied and the problem being evaluated including recognizing pertinent abnormalities and documenting abnormal findings. This role provides direct support to equipment both in the shop and on customer sites. Responsibilities and Duties

· Connect and calibrate an electronic pressure transmitter and monitor the signal output with VOM and recorder

· Connect and calibrate an electric-to-pneumatic signal converter

· Calibrate and adjust a valve positioner and functionally check the operation when installed on a control valve

_Behavioral Based/Technical Skills Interview_

The interview is a behavioral based interview incorporating our Core Competencies. In this process we believe that past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior and more recent behavior is a better predictor of future behavior than older behavior, and that long-standing trends are better predictors of behavior than isolated incidents. We therefore have patterned the questions during the interview to solicit behavior patterns that indicate with high predictability whether the candidate can perform the job as required. Salary Range: $47,000.00 - $78,400.00

Job Title: Field Service Technician I- Phoenix, AZ

As a Field Service Technician, you will; Represent the NCR Atleos brand by being the first line of response on-site at our customers’ locations. Problem-solve at a basic module level (FRU), organize and plan your time effectively, and know when and to whom to escalate issues to. Apply the knowledge that you learn during your on-the-job training to resolve task related problems in straightforward situations emphasizing on manual skills. What you’ll do as a Field Service Technician I:

• Follow Safety and Security Procedures when working on ATMs. You will learn this on Day 1.

• Complete NCR Atleos specific Trainings and Certifications on our training website.

• Diagnose problems based on the error logs from the ATM and information provided from our service app using a company provided cell phone.

• Perform minor maintenance and repairs on ATMs, both indoors and outdoors.

• Responsible for accurate and prompt reporting of updates and details of the work performed at the ATM, including call closure details.

• Maintain parts inventory and related records.

• Accurately reporting hours worked and miles driven daily.

Basic Qualifications:

Wire EDM Field Service Technician - Tuscon, AZ

DESCRIPTION

As a Wire EDM Field Service Technician you will utilize customer communication skills, and the mechanical and electrical knowledge to repair, troubleshoot, modify and test complex technical problems on Mitsubishi Machining products. This is a 100% travel position, Monday through Friday. Travel is primarily throughout the US, but can be international in some cases as well. Our services are provided on-site at our customer’s facilities and via telephone if the situation permits. We train the right people for a successful career in the machinery industry and pride ourselves on employee longevity and customer retention.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Travel to customer locations to diagnose complex technical problems and perform on-site repair

+ Examine machines mechanically and electrically in order to perform repairs by dismantling machines and rebuilding as needed

+ Communicate professionally and effectively with customers

This job requires very frequent bending at the waist, twisting of the upper body, standing, speaking and hearing and frequent kneeling. Repetitive use of the hands, squeezing, keyboarding and crouching. Requires frequent lifting and carrying of 1-10 pounds, recurrent lifting of 11-20 pounds and occasional lifting and carrying of 21-50 or more pounds. Also requires constant pushing and pulling of 1-50 pounds and infrequent pushing and pulling of over 50 pounds with the aid of handcarts or other wheeled devices. Good visual and color acuity are a must to perform this type of job.
